Great course. Great people. Course is a little difficult for beginner/decent players but easy to navigate and well maintained. Workers are nice, good service.
Cedar Creek course was challenging but top 5 courses i have played. Cant wait for the new renovations to visit again! 👍🏼 …
I play the local courses and mix it up over the year. The city courses have upped their game on taking care of the course. Greens are great, and even with the limited rain this year, the courses look pretty good. Cedar Creek is in super great shape. I played the day before Thanksgiving 2023 and had a great round. Pace of play was good, even with a full set of tee times. We had a 4 hour round. Greens are really good and can be a little tricky with all the breaks. Cedar Creek is probably our groups go to course of all the city courses.
Nice greens. Best they have been in years. Compliments end there.
Worst fairways in America. Maintenance personnel had no regard for golfers. The employee on fairway sand machine drove right through the 4 of us next to bunker on hole #1 standing there preparing to hit. Had to back off and laugh. Never experienced such rudeness. Had a sand shot on green side bunker on hole #12, nothing but mud on my club face as ball sailed over the green. Seemed like every fairway was full of mud or just a mud hole and I am talking about the center of the fairway. Some one should be held responsible. The course SUCKS! Why people play there is beyond me. No value what so ever. I am not telling you anything you do not know. Mr. Peterson does a nice job with the TRAIL but Cedar is an embarrassment to the city of SA. I will never play there again and will not recommend to friends or my golf group of 60 players.
Excellent, Beautiful course! Would've given 5 stars if we didn't have 3 groups waiting to tee off on Hole # 6. Marshall should've told a few of those guys to speed up or let folks play through.
Cedar Creek course clearly needs work on cart paths and huge areas of worn-down-to-dirt pathways into fairways.....always challenging, always well-kept greens. Perhaps some significant heavy re-construction/dirt work to counter-slope fairways so both sides slope to center on #2, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 16, and 18. Excellent center of fairway drives still end up in ditches or creeks after rollout. Played/ walked the course first time in winter 1991, before cart paths were paved. It's in need of some serious heavy landscaping to make it more attractive to more golfers.
See you in 2025.
Golf course was in fair shape. It's been played a lot this year. Though the greens were is good shape. The person who checked me i was very helpful and cooperative.
However, our group had a problem on the course. A group behind us, a twosome was unhappy we would not let them through as the course was very busy. They called the clubhouse and someone showed up and started berating us. Meanwhile behind the twosome was another twosome and they would not join with the other group. One of the groups starting hit into us. After our interaction with the clubhouse representative we just quit.
Just a frustrating day. Didn't even bother asking for a rain check.
Pro shop lady was a complete snob and rude was trying to close early and seem to make up her own rules specifically to not let me get a second cart AND STILL CHARGED ME FOR A CART FEE….. Golf course was beautiful tho, I will be back to finish my nine holes since course management seems to not care about how many groups are out at once the course. Mainly not happy to deal with that awfully rude old bag of a lady would love to not have to deal with her ever in the future. Would love to know why she’s in the position to make up such silly excuses and still rip me off thank you Alamo trails
